Cuba

Cuba was just like stepping into a movie set!

Despite it being relatively difficult to get there and we had to book the hotels and visa through a travel company instead of doing it ourselves (which I prefer to do), it really was such a unique place to visit. If you have seen Cuba in any films it literally is exactly the same!

We arrived in Havana and the first of all you see some beautiful vintage cars and start snapping away on the camera only to have the novelty wear off very fast when you realise nearly every car is an old classic! The buildings are run down but painted an array of different shades of pastel with the odd bright colour popping out. The spirit of Cuba was brought out even further with the locals, they have such a fun vibe. Walking around the streets of Havana you could hear the Cuban music pouring out from the houses and then the locals dancing out in the street, you couldn’t not join them! We visited the house where Hemingway lived and wrote some of his famous books, which was an inspiring place to be and see how he lived in the simple way he did.

After a week of drinking Rum and enjoying a few Cohibas our time there had finished and we headed off to Barbados!
